Let Love teach you what You are.
In my ongoing study of the text, I came across a paragraph that gave me a touch of rapture.
Tell B. that he cannot be embarrassed by his own words unless he believes that he is responsible for them. We have already corrected “word” to “thought,” and he is free to allocate the authorship for his thoughts as he elects. He can speak from his Soul or from his ego, precisely as he chooses. If he speaks from his Soul, he has chosen to “be still and know that I am God.” These words are inspired, because they come from knowledge. If he speaks from his ego, he is disclaiming knowledge instead of affirming it, and is thus dis-spiriting himself. (urtext)
The unreality of the ego shines through so strongly from this that only freedom, as abdication from responsibility – can be the result when this lessen is learned, understood and applied. When someone speaks from the ego and sickness in whatever form, we already know we cannot hold him or her responsible when we remember that it is the sickness speaking and not the brother or sister. And when we speak from Spirit the words are given us, and again we cannot claim responsibility, for God Himself uses us to complete His Plan.
When I first worked with this and learned it as an intellectual concept, I saw its potential as the undoing of discomfort. Now I understand it, because when I apply it, forgiveness brings freedom. Now there is also a greater dimension to understanding what forgiveness really does: recognize the unreality of what is of sickness, and therefore is asking for love; and when two minds meet in one goal: to bring love instead of grievances and pain the results are unspeakably beautiful, and there is great power to heal. And this is what happened for me tonight when I remembered the vision of the end, when all are at peace, and all things are light.
Thank you for listening.
